Technical Artist

header

I am a Technical Artist and Software Engineer with more than seven years of experience in game and software development. I specialize in creating modular tools and scripts in Maya and Unity to assist artists in streamlining the production pipeline, as well as integrating 3D assets and animations into game engines, such as Unity and Godot. In addition to tooling, I am proficient in Character Rigging, 3D Modeling, 2D and 3D Animation, as well as Software Design and Development.

I began my career in game development as an Environment Artist at Virtual Prophecy Games, creating 3D assets and environments for the game Mishap 2: An Intentional Haunting. I was later hired by Benchmark Games International's Research and Development team as a Technical Artist and Unity Developer, where I expanded my skillset into software development and programming while creating new redemption games for the Family Entertainment Center (FEC) industry. Currently, I am employed at Assembler Ltd as both a Software Engineer and Technical Artist where I provide continued support and development to the award-winning software, Systech Delay Analysis Software, as well Assembler's flagship software suite Time-Logic, which is used by some of the largest construction companies in Canada, Turkey, and Australia.

Mike is a creative professional with excellent 3D skills. He's a team player and very reliable. As a creative artist with over 20 years of experience, it is my pleasure giving him my wholehearted recommendation.

Mike and I have collaborated together on several projects over the years. He is easy to work with and communicates well. Great sense of humor too. Mike is a highly talented and creative person. He is constantly improving and sharpening his skills in all areas of art, even in his down time. Every year his abilities improve markedly and he continues to impress. If any employer asks me if I know a good artist I will always recommend Mike first.
